Spike Lee and Denzel Washington Team Up for ‘High and Low’ Adaptation

Spike Lee and Denzel Washington reunite after two decades for the adaptation of Akira Kurosawa's 'High and Low,' set to be released by A24 and streamed on Apple TV+.

Nearly 20 years following their last project together, Spike Lee and Denzel Washington are collaborating once again, this time on an adaptation of Akira Kurosawa’s 'High and Low.' The movie, which is being co-financed by Apple Original Films and will see a theatrical release through A24 before streaming on Apple TV+, marks their first film collaboration since 2006's 'Inside Man'. The original 'High and Low' is a 1963 thriller by Kurosawa, known for its critical exploration of class dynamics, adapted from Ed McBain's novel 'King's Ransom.' Filming for the adaptation begins in March.
